Moving doesn't have to be a hassle.

Nobody enjoys moving, but leaving a rental property or entering a new one doesn't need to feel like a nightmare. We've created these simple checklists to make it as easy as possible to handle the moving process. If you have additional questions that aren't answered below, feel free to get in touch with us for more information: (915) 228-3873

Move-in Checklist

We're excited to welcome you to your new El Paso rental home. Please be sure to read through the following important keys as you prepare to take possession of your home.

First Month's Rent & Security Deposit

You'll need to pay your first month's rent, security deposit, and any applicable fees at the time of the lease signing. Please confirm the total amount with our property managers in advance.

Move-in Date & Inspection

We will schedule your move-in date at the time of your lease signing. You are also responsible for filling out our move-in report. Make careful note of your home's condition and return the report within the specified timeframe. We will rely on this report when you vacate the home and make security deposit deductions if necessary.

Utilities

Your home's utility accounts need to be placed in your name immediately after moving in. Failure to establish utility accounts may result in temporary outages and administrative fees.

Move-out Checklist

We're always sad to see our tenants leave, but we want the move-out to be as straightforward as possible. Please keep the following keys in mind:

Notice of Intent to Vacate

You'll need to provide us with your written intent to vacate the rental home in advance. Please refer to your lease for specific terms.

Property Condition

Your home must be returned to its original condition before you return the keys. You will need to thoroughly clean your rental, repair any damage that occurred during your stay, and address any landscaping chores before vacating. Please make an effort to patch nail and screw holes, replace lightbulbs, and fix any broken glass.

Security Deposit

We make every effort to return your security deposit as quickly as possible following your departure. We will use the move-in form to check the home's condition and schedule repairs if necessary. Costs for these repairs will be deducted from your security deposit.

Of course, please remember that your security deposit cannot serve as your final month's rent. Pay rent as usual for your last month or you may incur financial penalties.
